ေလာကနီတိ


ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ဒီစာအုပ္ကိုေတာ႔ စာဖတ္သူတိုင္း ေသေသခ်ာခ်ာဖတ္ေစခ်င္တယ္။အက်ဥး္ခ်ဳပ္ကိုလည္း ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ေအာက္မွာ ေဖာ္ၿပထားပါတယ္။တရားတပုဒ္ေလာက္ကို တရားနာၿပီးတဲ့ အခ်ိန္ စိတ္ေအးလက္ေအး ၿဖစ္တဲ့ အခ်ိန္မ်ိဳးမွာ ဒီစာအုပ္ကို ဖတ္ၾကည့္ပါ။ တကယ္ကို ကိုယ္႔စိတ္ကို ၿပန္ၿမင္ႏိုင္ေလာက္တဲ့ အထိ အဓိပါယ္ကို ေလးေလးနက္နက္ေတြးၾကည့္ပါ။

နံပါတ္စဥ္ကို တခုစီဖတ္ၿပီးတ့ဲ အခ်ိန္ ဆင္႔ပြားေတြးပါ။ ဒါေပ့မယ္ အေတြးမလြန္ပါေစနဲ့။
ကိုယ္႔ကိုကိုယ္ ဆန္းစစ္ပါ။ ယံုၾကည္မူ မလြန္ကဲပါေစနဲ့။
ကိုယ္တိုင္ ကိုယ္က် စဥ္းစားၾကည့္ပါ။ ကိုယ္႔ကိုကိုယ္ မညာပါနဲ့။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ေတြးမိသေလာက္ ၿပန္ ေၿပာၾကည့္တာပါ။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ေတာ႔ ဒီအခ်က္ေတြနဲ့ ဒီစာအုပ္ကို ဖတ္လိုက္ပါတယ္။ စာဖတ္သူတို႔ေရာ ဘယ္လို အေတြးကိုယ္စီနဲ့ ဖတ္ၿဖစ္ၾကလည္း comment ေလး ထားခဲ့ရင္ ေကာင္းမယ္။


  • သူယုတ္မာကို အခ်စ္မလြန္ရာ။
  • သူယုတ္မာသည္ ထိပ္တင္ေခါင္းရြက္ ေျမႇာက္စားခံရေသာ္လည္း မေခ်မငံ ဆူဆူညံညံ ျပဳတတ္၏။

  • Do not love the unvirtuous too much.
  • Even though praised highly, the wicked may act impolitely and boisterously.

  • ေႁမြသည္ အမ်က္လြန္၏။
  • ေႁမြထက္ သူယုတ္မာသည္ ပို၍ အမ်က္လြန္၏။
  • ေႁမြကို မႏၱာန္ေဆးဝါးျဖင့္ ၿငိမ္းေစႏုိင္ေသာ္လည္း သူယုတ္မာကို ၿငိမ္းေစႏုိင္သည့္ ေဆးမရွိေခ်။

  • The snake is extreme in anger.
  • The wicked is more furious than the snake.
  • Though the snake can be subdued by charm and drugs , there is no remedy for subduing of the wicked.

  • မိမိမုိက္လ်က္ မုိက္မွန္းသိသူကို ပညာရွိဟု ဆုိအပ္၏။
  • မိမိမုိက္လ်က္ ပညာရွိဟု အထင္ေရာက္သူကိုမူ သူမုိက္ဟု ဆုိအပ္၏။

  • One who knows himself of his foolishness, may be said to be the wise.
  • One who thinks of himself as the wise even though he is foolish may be said to be the foolish.

  • သူမုိက္သည္ သူျပဳခဲ့ေသာ မေကာင္းမႈမ်ား အက်ိဳးမေပးေသးသမွ် အကုသုိလ္ကို ပ်ားရည္ဟု ေတြးထင္တတ္၏။
  • သူျပဳေသာမေကာင္းမႈေၾကာင့္ ဆုိးက်ိဳးမ်ား က်ေရာက္ခ်ိန္တြင္မူကား ဆင္းရဲဒုကၡ ေရာက္ရေတာ့၏။

  • The foolish thinks his evil deeds as honey so long as there occurs no due results for his evil deeds.
  • When bad results occured due to his evil deeds, then he gets into trouble.

  • လူမုိက္သည္ ခြန္အားရွိလွ်င္ သူတစ္ပါး ဥစၥာကို အႏုိင္အထက္ လုယူတတ္၏။
  • ပညာနည္းေသာ ထုိသူမိုက္သည္ ေသလြန္ၿပီးေသာ္ ငရဲသို႔ ေရာက္ရ၏။

  • The fool, if he is stronger, may plunder others possessions by force.
  • After death that fool of less knowledge lands in hell.

  • အိမ္ယာေထာင္ထား အၾကင္ေယာက်ာ္းသည္ ပ်င္းရိမူမေကာင္း။
  • ရဟန္းသည္ ကိုယ္ႏႈတ္နွလံုးကို ေစာင့္ထိန္းျခင္းမရွိမူ မေကာင္း။
  • မင္းအစိုးရသည္ မဆင္မျခင္ ျပဳေလ့ရွိလွ်င္မေကာင္း။
  • ပညာရွိသည္ အမ်က္ထြက္တတ္မူမေကာင္း။

  • A family man who is lazy is not good.
  • A monk who does not control thought, world and deed in unvirtuous.
  • An authority who acts wantonly is not good.
  • A sage, given anger is not good.

အၾကင္အရပ္၌-
  • ေနာက္လိုက္မရွိ၊ ေခါင္းေဆာင္ခ်ည္းသာမ်ားအံ့။
  • နာခံသူမရွိ၊ ပညာရွိဆရာ လုပ္လိုသူခ်ည္းသာမ်ားအံ့။
  • ႏွိမ့္ခ်သူမရွိ၊ အၾကီးအျမတ္ ျဖစ္လိုၾကသူမ်ားသာျဖစ္အံ့။

-ထိုသူတို႕ လုပ္သမွ် ကိစၥအ၀၀ သည္ ပ်က္စီးရတတ္၏။

A place,

  • Where there are no followers but all are leaders.
  • Who want to act wise with no listener,
  • To be great with no one humble is bound to see the ruin of whatever is done.
မင္းအစုိးရမည္သည္ -

  • တိုင္းျပည္၏ အခြန္အတုတ္ရမရ၊ မ်ိဳးရိကၡာ ျပည့္စံုျခင္းရွိမရွိ ကိုယ္တိုင္သိေအာင္ ျပဳရာ၏.
  • အမႈထမ္းမ်ား တာ၀န္ေက်ေအာင္ ထမ္းေဆာင္ျခင္း ရွိမရွိကိုလည္း ကိုယ္တိုင္သိေအာင္ျပဳရာ၏။
  • ႏွိမ့္ခ် အေရးယူထိုက္သူမ်ားကို ႏွိမ့္ခ် အေရးယူ၍ ခ်ီးေျမွာက္စားထုိက္သူမ်ားကို ခ်ီးေျမွာက္စားရာ၏။

Government must be directly in the know-

  • If revenue is received or not and if seeds and food supplies are sufficient or not.
  • If those in service are dutiful or not.
  • If those on whom action must be taken is taken and those worthy of reward are reward.
  • ဥစၥာမရွိဘဲ အစားမၾကဴးရာ။
  • ခြန္အားမရွိဘဲ အသတ္အပုတ္ မၾကိဳက္ရာ။
  • ပညာမရွိဘဲ စကားမ်ားစြာ မဆိုရာ။

  • Without wealth, be not excessive in eating.
  • Without strength, love not fighting.
  • Without learning, speak not too much.

  • မဖိတ္ေခၚဘဲ သူတစ္ပါး အိမ္သို႕ ၾကိမ္ဖန္မ်ားစြာ မသြားရာ။


  • သူမေမးဘဲ မ်ားစြာ မေျပာရာ။
  • မိမိဂုဏ္ကို ထုတ္ေဖာ္ ၀ါၾကြားပလႊားျခင္း မျပဳရာ ။ (ကိုယ့္ဂုဏ္ကိုယ္ေဖာ္ မသူေတာ္)

  • Don't visit another's house frequently without being invited.
  • Don't talk too much without being asked.
  • Don't extol and boast of oneself.
  • (Don't blow one's own trumpet.)

  • ေရမျပည့္ေသာ အိုးသည္ ေဘာင္ဘင္ ခတ္တတ္၏။
  • ပညာနည္းေသာ သူသည္ ထင္ရွားျပတတ္၏။

  • A half-empty vessel makes more sound.
  • A person not fully educated tends to show off.

  • သမုဒၵရာသည္ ေရ၌ မေရာင့္ရဲ။
  • မ်က္စိသည္ ခ်စ္ေသာသူကို ျမင္ျခင္း၌ မေရာင့္ရဲ။
  • ပညာရွိသည္ စကားေကာင္း၌ မေရာင့္ရဲ။

  • The ocean is not contented in receiving water.
  • The eye is not contented in seeing the beloved.
  • The wise is not contented in good speech.

  • စစ္ေျမျပင္အရပ္၌ ရဲရင့္သူကို အလိုရွိ၏။
  • လွိဳ႕၀ွက္ေသာ ကိစၥ၌ ႏႈတ္လံုသူကို အလိုရွိ၏။
  • စားေကာင္းေသာက္ဖြယ္ စားေသာက္ရခ်ိန္၌ ခ်စ္ခင္သူကို အလိုရွိ၏။
  • ခက္ခဲနက္နဲေသာ အေရးကိစၥၾကံဳေတြ႕ရခ်ိန္၌ ပညာရွိကို အလိုရွိ၏။
  • သူယုတ္မာသည္ သူေတာ္ေကာင္းကို ေတြ႕ျမင္လွ်င္ ခ်ဳပ္ခ်ယ္ ညွဥ္းဆဲ ျခင္း ျပဳလို၏။

  • On the Battlefield the brave are wanted.
  • In secret matters one who keeps his tongue is wanted.
  • At a feast , one loved is wanted.
  • In difficult and profound matters one learned is wanted.
  • The wicked on seeing the virtuous wants to oppress and persecute him.

  • အမႈကိစၥဟူသမွ်ကို အလ်င္စလို မျပဳရာ၊ အလ်င္စလို ျပဳခဲ့ေသာ္ ေနာင္မွ ပူပန္ရတတ္၏။
  • က်ဥ္းေျမာင္း၍ မစင္အတိ ၿပီးေသာ ေနရာ၌ ေနရျခင္းသည္ ဆင္းရဲ၏။
  • ထို႕ထက္ မခ်စ္မႏွစ္သက္ေသာ သူနွင့္ အတူတကြေနရျခင္းသည္ ပို၍ ဆင္းရဲ၏။
  • ထိုထက္ သူ႕ေက်းဇူးကို မသိတတ္သူနွင့္ေနရျခင္းက ပို၌ ဆင္းရဲ၏။

  • Nothing should be done in haste. If it is done hastily one could worry later.
  • Staying in a narrow place full of faeces is suffering.
  • More so is staying together with one hated.
  • Still more so is staying together with the ungrateful.
  • ဆံုးမသင့္သည္ကို အျမဲ ဆိုဆံုးမရာ၏
  • ယုတ္မာေသာ အက်င့္ကိုလည္း တားျမစ္ရာ၏
  • ထိုသုိ႕ ဆံုးမ တားျမစ္တတ္သူကို သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕ ႏွစ္သက္လိုလားၾကာ၏ ။ သူယုတ္မာတို႕ကား မႏွစ္သက္ၾကေခ်။

  • Always admonish where it is due.
  • Deter wicked ways.
  • One who does so is liked by the virtuous , but disliked by the wicked.

  • ႏွစ္လင္သံုးလင္ေျပာင္းေသာ မိန္းမ၊
  • ႏွစ္ေက်ာင္းသံုးေက်ာင္းေျပာင္းေသာ ရဟန္း၊
  • ႏွစ္ၾကိမ္သံုးၾကိမ္ ေက်ာ့ကြင္းမွ လြတ္ဖူးေသာငွက္၊
ဤသူတို႕ကား မာယာမ်ားတတ္၏။

  • The woman , who changes two or three husbands,
  • The priest, who changes tow or three monasteries,
  • The bird which escapes from traps twice or thrice,

These may have many deceits.

  • ဆိုးသြမ္းယုတ္မာသူကို ရိုက္ပုတ္ဒဏ္ခတ္ျခင္းျဖင့္ ယဥ္ပါးေစႏိုင္၏။
  • မေကာင္းေသာ အေဆြခင္ပြန္းကို အဆက္အဆံ မျပဳလုပ္ဘဲေနျခင္းျဖင့္ ယဥ္ပါးေစႏိုင္၏။
  • မေကာင္းေသာ မားကို ေငြေၾကးဥစၥာမအပ္ႏွင္းျခင္းျဖင့္ ယဥ္ပါးေစႏိုင္၏။
  • အစားအစာ တပ္မက္လြန္က်ဴးသူကို အစားေလွ်ာ့၍ ေကြၽးျခင္းျဖင့္ ယဥ္ပါးေစႏိုင္၏။

  • The wicked may be tamed by beating,
  • The bad friend by quitting,
  • The bad wife by not giving wealth,
  • The greedy by reduction of food.

  • လေရာင္မွ ကင္းေသာ ညသည္ မတင့္တယ္။
  • လႈိင္းတံပိုးမွ ကင္းေသာ သမုဒၵရာသည္ မတင့္တယ္။
  • ဟသၤာမွ ကင္းေသာ ေရကန္သည္ မတင့္တယ္။
  • လင္မွကင္းေသာ သတို႕သမီးသည္ မတင့္တယ္။

  • The night without moon is disgraceful.
  • The ocean without waves is disgraceful.
  • The pond without ducks (Hamza) is disgraceful.
  • The maiden without husband is disgraceful.

  • ဖုန္းေတာင္းယာစကာမ်ားအဖို႕ ေန႕ေရာညပါ အိပ္စက္ၾကေစကာမူ ၊
  • သာမန္ ရပ္သူရြာသားမ်ား အဖို႕ ညဥ့္သံုးယာမ္စလံုး အိပ္စက္ၾကေစကာမူ၊
  • မွဴးမတ္ ပညာရွိမ်ားသည္ကား ညဥ့္သံုးယာမ္တြင္ ႏွစ္ယာမ္သာလွ်င္ အိပ္စက္ရာ၏၊
  • ျပည့္ရွင္မင္းသည္ကား ညဥ့္သံုးယာမ္တြင္ တစ္ယာမ္သာလွ်င္ အိပ္စက္ရာ၏

  • Though beggars sleep day and night,
  • The commons sleep the entire night,
  • The ministers and the wise may sleep two watches,
  • And the king but one.
  • ပစၥည္း ဥစၥာၾကြယ္၀ခ်မ္းသာသူလည္း မရွိေသာ၊
  • အၾကားအျမင္ႏွင့္ ျပည့္စံုသူ ပညာရွိသူလည္း မရွိေသာ၊
  • အုပ္စုိးသူမင္းအစိုးရလည္းမရွိေသာ၊
  • ျမစ္ေၾကာင္းကန္ေခ်ာင္းလည္းမရွိေသာ၊
  • ေဆး၀ါးသမားလည္းမရွိေသာ၊
ဤအရပ္ေဒသမ်ိဳးတြင္ တစ္ေန႕တစ္ရက္မွ် အေျခခ်မေနအပ္။

One should not live even a day in a place-

  • Without the wealthy,
  • Without the learned,
  • Without government,
  • Without rivers,
  • Without medicines and physicians.

  • ျမတ္ႏိုးသူမရွိေသာ အရပ္၊
  • ခ်စ္ခင္သူမရွိေသာအရပ္၊
  • အေဆြခင္ပြန္းမရွိေသာအရပ္၊
  • အတတ္ပညာ သင္ၾကားေပးသူ မရွိေသာအရပ္၊
  • ထိုအရပ္မ်ိဳး၌ တစ္ေန႕တစ္ရက္မွ် မေနအပ္။
One should not stay even a day in a place.

  • Without person adored,
  • Without person attached,
  • Without relative,
  • Without teacher.

  • ေယာက္မသည္ ဟင္း၏ အရသာကို မသိသကဲ့သို႕ သူမိုက္သည္ ပညာရွိအား အသက္ထက္ဆံုး ဆည္းကပ္ေသာ္လည္း သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတရားကို မသိေခ်။
  • လွ်ာသည္ ဟင္း၏ အရသာကို သိသကဲ့သို႕ လိမၼာေရးျခားရွိသူသည္ ပညာရွိအား တစ္ခဏမွ် ဆည္းကပ္ရမူ သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတရားကို လ်င္ျမန္စြာ သိ၏။

  • Just as the ladle know not the taste of the curry, the foolish knows not Dhamma, even though close to the wise for life.
  • Just as the tongue knows the taste of the curry, so also does the clever one know the Dhamma promptly, even by associating shortly with the wise.

  • လက္နက္မပါဘဲ စစ္ေျမသို႕ မသြားရာ။
  • က်န္းဂန္ အေထာက္အထား မရွိဘဲ စကားမဆိုရာ။
  • အေဖာ္မပါဘဲ ခရီးေ၀းမသြားရာ။

  • Go not to the battle field without arms.
  • Speak not without references to treatises.
  • Travel not afar without companion.

  • အေရးအခြင့္ ေရာက္သည္ႏွင့္ ေလ်ာ္ကန္ေသာ စကားကို ေျပာဆိုရာ၏။
  • ကိုယ္နွင့္ ေလ်ာက္ပတ္ေသာ ခ်စ္အပ္သူကို ရွာရာ၏။

  • Speak appropriately when opportune.
  • Fine one who is suited and should be loved.

  • သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕၏ ဥစၥာသည္ နည္းပင္နည္းျငားေသာ္လည္း တြင္းမွရေသာ ေရခ်ိဳကဲ့သို႕ သူတစ္ပါးတို႕ ေသာက္သံုးမွီခိုရ၏ ။
  • မသူေတာ္တို႕ ဥစၥာသည္ကား မ်ားပင္မ်ားျငားေသာ္လည္း သမုဒၵရာ ေရကဲ့သို႕ ေသာက္၊ သံုး မွီခိုရာမရႏိုင္.။

  • Little as the wealth of the virtuous may be, it can be used as good water from a well.
  • But much as the wealth of the nonvirtuous can be not useful as water from the ocean.

  • ျမစ္တို႕သည္ ေရကို မေသာက္ကုန္။
  • သစ္ပင္တို႕သည္ အသီးကို မစားကုန္။
  • သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕၏ ဥစၥာသည္လည္း သူတစ္ပါးတုိ႕၏ အက်ိဳးအတြက္ ျဖစ္၏။

  • Rivers do not drink water.
  • Trees do not eat fruit.
  • The wealth of the virtuous is for the benefit of others.

  • မေတာင့္တအပ္သည္ကို မေတာင့္တရာ။
  • မၾကံစည္အပ္သည္ကို မၾကံစည္ရာ။
  • တရားသျဖင့္သာလွ်င္ ေကာင္းစြာ ၾကံစည္ရာ၏။
  • အခ်ိန္ကို အခ်ည္းႏွီးအလဟသာ မကုန္ဆံုးေစရာ။


  • Crave not for what should not.
  • Think not for what should not.
  • Think well in just way.
  • Do not pass away the time in futility.
  • သစ္ပင္၏အရိပ္သည္ ေအးခ်မ္း၏
  • ထိုထက္ ေဆြမ်ိဳးမိဘအရိပ္က ပို၍ ေအးခ်မ္း၏
  • ထိုထက္ ဆရာသမားအရိပ္က ပို၍ ေအးခ်မ္း၏
  • ထိုထက္ ျမတ္စြာဘုရား အရိပ္က အဆမ်ားစြာသာလြန္ ေအးခ်မ္း၏

  • The refuge of the tree is cool.
  • Even more is the refuge of parents and relatives.
  • Even more is the refuge of the teacher.
  • Far more is the refuge of Buddha.

  • ပ်ားပိတုန္းတို႕သည္ ပန္းကို အလိုရွိကုန္၏
  • သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕သည္ ဂုဏ္ေက်းဇူးကို အလိုရွိကုန္၏
  • ယင္ေကာင္တို႕သည္ အပုပ္ကို အလိုရွိကုန္၏
  • သူယုတ္တို႕သည္ အမ်က္ေဒါသကို အလိုရွိကုန္၏

  • Bees want flowers.
  • The virtuous want virtue.
  • Flies want the putrid.
  • The wicked want anger.

  • အမိအဘတို႕၏ အဆံုးအမကို မရမူ ကိုႏႈတ္အမူအရာ ၾကမ္းတမ္း၏
  • အမိအဘတို႕၏ အဆံုးအမကို ေကာင္းစြာရမူ ကိုယ္ႏႈတ္ အမူအရာ လိမၼာယဥ္ေက်း၏

  • Deprives of parental teachings, one tends to be harsh in words and deeds.
  • Benefited by parental teachings one is gentle in words and deeds.

  • အမ်က္ေဒါသကို ေျဖေဖ်ာက္ႏိုင္လွ်င္ စိုးရိမ္ျခင္း ကင္းရ၏
  • သူ႕ေက်းဇူးကို ဆိုတတ္လွ်င္ သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕ ခ်ီးမြမ္းကုန္၏
  • ၾကမ္းၾကဳတ္ေသာ စကားကို သည္းခံျခင္းသည္ ျမတ္၏

  • Dissolving anger frees one from worry.
  • Expressing one's gratitude is praised by the virtuous.
  • Tolerating rude words is virtuous.


  • မိန္းမ၌ တပ္မက္လြန္ၾကဴးမူသိကၡာ သီလမရွိႏိုင္။
  • သူ႕အသက္ သူ႕အသား အစားလြန္ၾကဴးမူ အသနားမရွိႏိုင္။
  • အရက္ေသစာ အေသာက္အစားလြန္ၾကဴးမူ စကားမမွန္ႏိုင္။
  • ေလာဘရမၼက္ ၾကီးလြန္းမူ အရွက္ မရွိႏိုင္။
  • အပ်င္းၾကီးလြန္းမူ အတတ္ပညာ မဆည္းပူးႏိုင္။

  • The over-sexed has no honour.
  • The over-carnivorous has no pity.
  • The over-imbibed has no truthful world.
  • The over-avariced has no shame.
  • The over-lazy has no education

ဥစၥာစည္းစိမ္ ပ်က္စီးဆံုးရႈံးရျခင္း၏ အေၾကာင္းရင္းတို႕သည္ကား -
  • အရက္ေသစာ အေသာက္အစားလြန္ၾကဴးျခင္း။
  • အခ်ိန္အခါမဟုတ္ အလည္အပတ္အသြားအလာမ်ားျခင္း။
  • သဘင္ပဲြလမ္း အေပ်ာ္အပါး အသြားအလာမ်ားျခင္း။
  • အေလာင္းအစား ကစားမ်ားျခင္း ။
  • မေကာင္းေသာ အေဆြခင္ပြန္းတို႕၌ အေပါင္းအေဖာ္မ်ားျခင္း။
  • ထၾကြလံု႕လမရွိ ပ်င္းရိဖင့္ႏဲြ႕ျခင္း ။
- တို႕ေပတည္း။

The causes of ruin are-

  • Over-intoxication.
  • Over- indulgence in untimely visits.
  • Over-enjoyment of entertaining pleasure.
  • Over-gambling.
  • Over-association with the bad.
  • Over-procrastination and laziness.



  • တတ္လွစြာေသာ ေစာင္းသမားသည္ ေစာင္းႏွင့္ငါးရက္ ကင္းကြာမူ ေစာင္းတီးပ်က္တတ္၏။
  • တတ္လွစြာေသာ ေလးသမားသည္ ေလးႏွင့္ ခုႏွစ္ရက္ ကင္းကြာမူ ေလးျမားခ်ိန္သား ပ်က္တတ္၏။
  • အိမ္သူမယားေကာင္းသည္ လင္နွင့္ တစ္လကင္းကြာမူ အမူအက်င့္ေဖာက္ျပားတတ္၏။
  • တပည့္တို႕သည္ကား ဆရာႏွင့္ တစ္လခဲြမွ် ကင္းကြာမူ ပညာရည္ပ်က္တတ္၏။

  • A good harpist may lose skill after separation of five days from harp.
  • A good archer may lose skill after separation of seven days from bow.
  • A good wife may lose in the haviour after separation of one month from her husband.
  • Pupils may lose in qualification after separation of about half a month from teacher.

  • ကြၽဲသည္ ရြံ႕ညြန္၌သာ ေမြ႕ေလ်ာ္၏။
  • ဟသၤာသည္ ေရကန္၌သာ ေမြ႕ေလ်ာ္၏။
  • မိန္းမသည္ ေယာက်ာ္း၌သာ ေမြ႕ေလ်ာ္၏။
  • ရဟန္းသည္ တရား၌သာ ေမြ႕ေလ်ာ္၏။

  • Buffalo delights in mud.
  • Duck delights in pond.
  • Woman delights in man.
  • Priest delights in virtue. (Dhamma)

  • ထမင္းကုိ အစာေၾကမွ ခ်ီးမြမ္းရာ၏။
  • မယားကို အရြယ္လြန္မွ ခ်ီးမြမ္းရာ၏။
  • စစ္သည္ ရဲမက္ကို စစ္ေအာင္ၿပီးမွ ခ်ီးမြမ္းရာ၏။
  • ေကာက္ႏွံစပါးကို က်ီသို႕ေရာက္မွ ခ်ီးမြမ္းရာ၏။

  • One should praise meal after being digested.
  • One should praise wife after she is over age.
  • One should praise solider after winning battle.
  • One should praise paddy after being harvest and stored in ware-house.


  • စာေပက်မ္းဂန္မႏာၱန္ဂါထာတို႕သည္ ရြတ္ဖတ္သရဇၥ်ာယ္ျခင္း မျပဳလွ်င္ ေပ်ာက္ပ်က္တတ္၏။
  • ထၾကြလံု႕လ ၀ီရိယမရွိလွ်င္ စည္းစိမ္ဥစၥာသည္ ဆုတ္ယုတ္ကုန္ခန္းတတ္၏။

  • Scriptures and mantras not recited get lost.
  • Wealth, without being industrious may diminished and perish.

  • အဆင္းလွသူအတြက္ ပ်င္းရိျခင္းသည္ အညစ္အေၾကးတည္း။
  • တရား အားထုတ္ေသာ ရဟန္းအတြက္ ေမ့ေလ်ာ့ျခင္းသည္ အညစ္အေၾကးတည္း။

  • Laziness is a taint to good appearance.
  • Forgetfulness is a taint to the ascetic.

  • လံု႕လမရွိေသာ သူတို႕၏ ဥစၥာကား လံု႕လၾကီးသူတို႕ထံ ဧကန္မလဲြေရာက္ျမဲျဖစ္၏။
  • လူပ်င္းလူညံ့ တို႕သည္ကား အပတ္တကုတ္ အားမထုတ္ပဲ ေရွးအတိတ္ကံသာ အားကိုးရာ ပဓာနဟု ဆိုစမွတ္ျပဳၾကကုန္၏။

  • The property of the non-industrious will inevitably get into the hands of the in dustrious.
  • The lazy and stupid usually say that previous fate alone is enough to rely on without making any effort.

  • လူေတာ္လူေကာင္းတို႕သည္ ျပဳဖြယ္ကိစၥ မွန္သမွ်ကို လံု႕လစိုက္ထုတ္အားထုတ္ၾကိဳးပမ္း စြမ္းစြမ္းတမံ ေဆာင္ရြက္တတ္ၾကကုန္၏။
  • ၾကံတိုင္းမေအာင္ ေဆာင္တိုင္းမေျမာက္ခဲ့လွ်င္လည္း ကဲ့ရဲ႕ျငိဳျငင္ ျပစ္တင္ေဒါသ အဘယ္မွာလွ်င္ ခံရဖြယ္ရိွအံ့နည္း။

  • The good and diligent put their energies into what ever they do.
  • If all endeavours arrive at not fruitful end, no blame or anger is placed on the outcome.


အနာသည္ မိမိကိုယ္၌ျဖစ္လွ်က္ မိမိအက်ဳိးကို မရြက္ေဆာင္။

ေဆးပင္ေဆးရြက္သည္ ေတာ၌ျဖစ္လွ်က္ အက်ိဳးကိုျဖစ္ေစႏိုင္၏။

Disease, though arising in the body does not bring benefit.

Herbs though growing in the forest can be beneficial.

ကုိယ့္အက်ိဳးစီးပြားကို ရြက္ေဆာင္မူသူစိမ္းပင္ ျဖစ္လင့္ကစား အေဆြအမ်ိဳးဟု မွတ္ယူရာ၏။

ကိုယ့္အက်ိဳးစီးပြားကုိ မရြက္ေဆာင္လွ်င္ မိတ္ေဆြရင္းခ်ာပင္ျဖစ္လင့္ကစား သူစိမ္းဟု မွတ္ယူရာ၏။

If one brings benefit, a stranger may be considered as relative.

If one does not confer benefit, even though he is close relative, may be considered a stranger.

မ်က္ကြယ္၌ သူ႕ေက်းဇူးကို ေခ်ဖ်က္တတ္ၿပီး ေရွ႕တြင္မူ ခ်ိဳခ်ိဳသာသာ စကားဆိုတတ္သူကို အဆိပ္အိုးမွ ပ်ားရည္ကို ေရွာင္ၾကဥ္သကဲ့သို႕ ေရွာင္ၾကဥ္ရာ၏။

Showing in gratitude in the absence, being sweet in the presence such a person should be shunned just like shunning the honey in a pot of poison.

ဥစၥာ စီးပြားပ်က္လွ်င္ မိတ္ေဆြ၊ သားမယား ၊ ညီအစ္ကို ေမာင္ႏွမမ်ားသည္ပင္ စြန္႕ခြာတတ္၏။

ဥစၥာ ရွိသူကိုသာ မွီခို ေပါင္းသင္းလိုၾက၏။

ေလာက၌ စီးပြား ဥစၥာသည္ ခင္ပြန္းၾကီးျဖစ္၏။

If wealth is lost, friends, son and wife, brothers and sisters may leave away.

They want to associate only to the rich.

Wealth in the world is a great friend


  • သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕ကိုသာ ေပါင္းေဖာ္ရာ၏ . . .
  • သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတရားကို သိရ၍ ျမင့္ျမတ္၏. . .

  • Associate only with the virtuous.
  • Knowing Dhamma from the virtuous is virtuous.

  • သူယုတ္မာတို႕ႏွင့္ ေပါင္းဖတ္ျခင္းကို စြန္႕လႊတ္ေလာ့ . . .
  • သူေတာ္ေကာင္းကို ေပါင္းဖက္အပ္သူကို သာ ဆည္းကပ္ေလာ့ . . .
  • ကုသိုလ္ေကာင္းမႈကို အစဥ္အျမဲ ျပဳေလာ.့ . .
  • မျမဲေသာ အျဖစ္ (သခၤါရတရား) ကို အစဥ္အျမဲ ေအာက္ေမ့ဆင္ျခင္ေလာ့ . . .

  • A bandon association with the wicked.
  • Approach only the virtuous who should be associated with
  • Always do good deeds.
  • Always be mindful of the law of impermanence (Sandhara Dhamma).

  • သူယုတ္တို႕သည္ ေရသဖန္းသီးမွည့္ႏွင့္ တူ၏ အျပင္ပန္းအားျဖင့္ အဆင္းရွိေသာ္လည္း အတြင္း၌ မူကား ပိုးေလာက္မ်ားျဖင့္သာ ျပည့္ကုန္၏. .
  • The wicked are like ripe figs goodlooking outside but full of worms inside.
  • ပိႏၷဲသီးမွည့္တို႕သည္ ျပင္ပ၌ဆူးမ်ား ရွိေသာ္လည္း အတြင္းအရသာမူကား ခ်ိဳျမိန္လွေပ၏. .
  • သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕၏ စိတ္ႏွလံုးသည္လည္း ထို႕အတူပင္ျဖစ္၏. . .

  • Though jack fruits have thorns outside the taste is sweet.
  • So also are the hearts of the virtuous

  • ပညာရွိသူေတာ္ေကာင္းသည္ ေဘးဒုကၡဆင္းရဲသို႕ က်ေရာက္ျငားေသာ္လည္း သူေတာ္ေကာင္း တရားကို မစြန္႕.

  • The wise and virtuous does not abandon virtue even when in trouble.

  • ျခၤေသ့တို႕မည္သည္ ငတ္မြတ္ဆာေလာင္ေသာ္လည္း ျမက္သစ္ရြက္ကိုမူ မစား. . .

  • ပညာရွိ သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕သည္လည္း ဆင္းရဲဒုကၡၾကံဳရေသာ္လည္း မေကာင္းမႈဒုစရိုက္ကို လက္မခံ အက်င့္သီလကို ေစာင့္ထိန္းၾကကုန္၏

  • Lions, though hungry will not eat grass.
  • The learned and virtuous though faced with poverty will not accept badness but always upholds virtue

  • မ်က္မာန္ေဒါသၾကီးသူကို ရန္တံု႕မျပန္ သည္းခံျခင္းျဖင့္ ေအာင္ႏိုင္ရာ၏.
  • မေတာ္မမွန္အေကာက္ဥာဏ္္ သံုးတတ္ သူကို ေတာ္တည့္ေျဖာင့္မွန္စြာ က်င့္သံုး ျခင္းျဖင့္ ေအာင္ႏိုင္ရာ၏.
  • ေကာက္က်စ္၀န္ကို မေပးလိုေသာ သူကို ေပးကမ္း စြန္႕ၾကဲျခင္းျဖင့္ ေအာင္ႏိုင္ရာ၏.
  • မဟုတ္မွန္ ေဖာက္ျပန္စြာ စကားဆိုတတ္သူကို ဟုတ္တိုင္းမွန္ရာ ေျဖာင့္မွန္စြာ ေျပာဆိုျခင္းျဖင့္ ေအာင္ႏိုင္ရာ၏.

  • The violent can be overcome by forbearance.
  • The crooked can be overcome by being straight forward.
  • The miserly can be overcome by lavishing.
  • Those given to concoctions can be overcome by truth.

  • ေကြၽးေမြးေပးကမ္းျခင္းသည္ မယဥ္ပါးသူကို ယဥ္ပါးေစႏိုင္၏ ခပ္သိမ္းေသာ အက်ိဳးကိစၥကိုလည္း ၿပီးေစႏိုင္၏.
  • ေကြၽးေမြးေပးကမ္းျခင္း၊ ခ်စ္ဖြယ္စကားဆိုျခင္း သူတစ္ထူအေပၚသာလြန္ႏိုင္၏. အမ်ား၏ရိုေသေလးစားမႈကို လည္းရယူႏိုင္၏.

  • The unruly may be tamed by feeding and giving and all benefits gained.
  • And edge may be gained by sweet words and subservience of others may also be attained.

ဤေလာက၌-
  • ေပးကမ္းျခင္းသည္ အခ်စ္ေဆးျဖစ္၏. . အေဆြခင္ပြန္း အျခံအရံမ်ားေစ၏.
  • ႏွေျမာတြန္႕တို၀န္တိုျခင္းသည္ကား အမုန္းေဆးမည္၏. အျခံအရံမဲ့ အထီးက်န္ ဘ၀သို႕ ေရာက္ေစတတ္၏.
In this word-
  • Generosity is the potion of love. Can bring forth many to wait upon you.
  • Frugality is the potion of hate. Can leave you unattended.


ေလာက၌ အသက္ရွင္လ်က္ေသသူဟု ဆိုအပ္ေသာသူငါးေယာက္တို႕ကား -
- အလြန္အမင္းဆင္းရဲျခင္းႏွင့္ ဒုကၡိတဘ၀ေရာက္ရသူ
- နာတာရွည္ ေရာဂါေ၀ဒနာ ဖိစီးႏွိပ္စက္ခံရသူ
- ေၾကာင္းက်ိဳးမွားမွန္ ဧကန္မသိ မိုက္မဲျခင္းၾကီးလွသူ
- ဥစၥာေခ်းငွား၊ မ်ားစြာ ေၾကြးၿမီ ထူေျပာသူ
- မင္း၀ယ္ ကိုယ္ၾကပ္ခစားထမ္းရြက္ရသူ

- The disabled and extreme poverty,
- the long-term infirm,
- the foolish who knows not what is good or bad,
- the one who owes others enormously,
- the one who has to serve the king closely, may be considered lifeless thought alive.

ပညာရွိတို႕သေဘာကား -
- က်ေရာက္လတၱံ႕ေသာ ေဘးကို ေတြ႕ျမင္လွ်င္ အေ၀းကပင္ ေရွာင္တတ္၏။
- မ်က္ေမွာက္ဒိဌ ၾကံဳေတြ႕ရေသာ ေဘးကိုမူကား ေၾကာက္ရြံ႕မရွိ ရဲရင့္စြာရင္ဆိုင္ ေျဖရွင္းတတ္ေပ၏။

The nature of the wise -
- A voids imminent danger when he sees it.
- Courageously unravels the danger befall.

- ေလာက၌ေက်ာက္ထီးသည္ေလး၏
- ထို႕ထက္ ဆရာမိဘတို႕ အဆံုးအမၾသ၀ါဒက ပို၏ေလး၏
- အရာရာတို႕ထက္ ျမတ္စြာဘုရား၏ တရားစကားသည္ကား အေလးဆံုး အျမတ္ဆံုးျဖစ္၏။

- Weighty is a stone umbrella.
- Weightier still are the words of elders.
- Weightiest and noblest of them all are the words of Buddha.


* မေကာင္းေသာ အရပ္။
* မေကာင္းေသာ မိတ္ေဆြ။
* မေကာင္းေသာ အမ်ိဳးအႏြယ္။
* မေကာင္းေသာ ေဆြမ်ိဳးခင္ပြန္း။
* မေကာင္းေသာ မယား။
* မေကာင္းေသာ ေက်းကြၽန္။
ဤ သူတို႕ကို ေ၀းစြာ စြန္႕ပစ္ရာ၏.

* A bad place ,
* A bad friend,
* A bad descendent,
* A bad relative,
* A bad wife,
* A bad servant,
All these should be abandoned.

အၾကင္အေပါင္းအေဖာ္သည္ -
* ေရာဂါေ၀ဒနာ က်ေရာက္စဲြကပ္ေသာ အခါ၌ လည္းေကာင္း ၊
* ငတ္မြတ္ေခါင္းပါး ေဘးဒုကၡေရာက္ေသာ အခါ၌ လည္းေကာင္း ၊
* ဥစၥာစည္းစိမ္ ဆံုးရွံဳးပ်က္စီးေသာ အခါ၌ လည္းေကာင္း ၊
* ရန္သူဖမ္းဆီးျခင္းခံရေသာ အခါ၌ လည္းေကာင္း ၊
* တရားရုံးမ်ား၌ အမႈကိုရင္ဆိုင္ရေသာ အခါ၌ လည္းေကာင္း ၊
* နာေရးကိစၥ စ်ာပနႏွင့္ၾကံဳရေသာ အခါ၌ လည္းေကာင္း ၊
မိမိႏွင့္အတူရပ္တည္ေပ၏. ထိုသူသည္ အေဆြခင္ပြန္းေကာင္းမည္၏။

He who stands together-
* When disease strikes,
* When hunger strikes,
* When impoverished,
* When captured by enemy,
* When having to face the court,
* When there is death in the home,
Such a companion is a true friend.

* အမ်ားအက်ိဳးအတြက္ တစ္စံုတစ္ေယာက္၏ အက်ိဳးကို စြန္႕၍ ေဆာင္ရြက္ရာ၏။
* ျပည္ရြာတိုင္းက်ိဳး အမ်ိဳးသားအက်ိဳးအတြက္ကိုမူကား အရာရာကို စြန္႕၍ ေဆာင္ရြက္ရာ၏။

* For the good of all, an individual's interest should be overlooked.
* For the good of the nation and the people all other interests should be overlooked.

* မိမိအတြက္ အက်ိဳးမျပဳသည့္ အရပ္ေဒသကို ေရွာင္ၾကဥ္ရာ၏။
* သင့္တင့္ေလ်ာက္ပတ္ ေကာင္းျမတ္ေသာ အက်ိဳးျဖစ္ထြန္းမည့္ အရပ္ေဒသကို ရွာၾကံရာ၏။
* ေနရာသစ္၌ အက်ိဳးျဖစ္မျဖစ္ တြက္စစ္ေသခ်ာ မေလ့လာ မစူးစမ္းဘဲေနရာေဟာင္းကို မစြန္႕ခြာရာ။

* One should avoid a place which brings no benefit.
* One should seek a place of benefit.
* One should not abandon the old place recklessly without knowing the condition of the new.

* မိတ္ေဆြစစ္ ခင္ပြန္းေကာင္းသည္ အရင္းမွာ အဖ်ားတိုင္ေအာင္ ခ်ိဳေသာ ၾကံ၏သေဘာႏွင့္ တူ၏။
* မိတ္ေဆြ အတုအေယာင္သည္ကား အရင္းပိုင္းသာခ်ိဳ၍ အဖ်ားေရာက္ေသာ္ ရသာေပ့ါပ်က္ အခ်ိဳရည္မထြက္ေသာ ၾကံ၏ သေဘာႏွင့္တူ၏။

* A good friend is like a sugar-cane which is sweet from stem to top.
* A bogus friend is like a sugar-cane that is sweet only at the stem but loses its taste at the top.



  • ပထမအရြယ္ပညာရွာ၊
  • ဒုတိယအရြယ္ ဥစၥာရွာ၊
  • တတိယအရြယ္ တရားရွာ။
  • Pursue education in early age.
  • Pursue wealth in middle age.
  • Purse Dhamma in old age.
  • အတတ္ပညာ မရွိသူသည္ သူတစ္ပါး၏ ၀န္ကိုထမ္းရ၏။
  • အတတ္ပညာရွိသူသည္ သူတစ္ပါး၏ ဂုဏ္ျပဳျခင္းကို ခံရ၏။
  • ထို႕ေၾကာင္႕ ေန႕စဥ္ေန႕တိုင္း အတတ္ပညာကို ရေအာင္ၾကိဳးစား သင္ယူပါေလာ႕။
  • One without knowledge has to carry other's burden.
  • One who has knowledge is honoured by others.
  • So strive daily to get knowledge.
  • မိဘတို႕သည္ သားသမီးကို ငယ္စဥ္ကပင္ အတတ္ပညာကို သင္ေပးရ၏။
  • အတတ္ပညာကို သင္မေပးခဲ႕မူ ဟသၤာတို႕ အလယ္၌ ဥဗ်ိဳင္းငွက္သည္ မတင္႕တယ္သကဲ႕ ပရိတ္သတ္ဗိုလ္ပံု အလယ္၌ မတင္႕တယ္ျဖစ္ရာ၏
  • အတတ္ပညာ ကင္းမဲ႕ေသာေၾကာင္႕ သားႏွင္႕သမီး မိဘတို႕သည္ ရန္သူသဖြယ္ ျဖစ္လာရ၏။
  • Parents must educate the children while young.
  • If not, they will be unbecoming-bird is unbecoming among hams as.
  • For not being educated, son and parents can turn out to be an enemy.

စာအုပ္တအုပ္လံုးကို ဒီေနရာမွာ တိုက္ရိုက္ဖတ္ ေဒါင္းလုပ္လုပ္လို႔ရပါတယ္။
